My Story

Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is Troy "Pit Master" Hamele, owner of T-Roy's BBQ. I started ribbing as a hobbyist at the Nashua West Rotary Rock'N RibFest back in 2005 held at Anheuser Busch Brewery. Maybe you already had my food and even voted for me! I competed against some of the best professional pitmasters from across the country at this NH State BBQ Championship, taking home SIX "People Choice Awards". On top of that, I recieved EIGHT additional 1st place Trophy's at other competitions for my ribs.

Three elements go into making successful ribs- time, temperature, and texture. There also has to be a strong passion for it. After fiddling around with the ingredients and cooking methods, I perfected my ribs and pulled pork. Making my own rub and cooking ribs over low heat in my Southern Pride Smoker with hickory wood. This is the most popular flavor barbeque fans look for, HICKORY. This in combination with the dry rub, gives my ribs and pulled pork its distinctive taste.

"T-Roy's BBQ" has been serving award winning food at Brookdale Farm in Hollis, NH. A 7-generation Family Farm and Award Winning in itself for pick your own, along with being one of the state's largest retail and wholesale growers.  For over 15 years, the Hardy Family has welcomed us during their apple picking season. Here, we have grown our fan base, bringing T-Roy's out more frequently because of the popular demand of our award winning BBQ. The last 5 years from April to October, T-Roy's could be found there on several weekends. One of our fans moved to Alaska, but always stops by when back in town to bring back their favorite BBQ.

 

As any New Englander knows, the weather can change rapidly and dramatically. Operating under a tent for the last 15 years- we have served in hot, cold, windy, and rainy weather. I recently invested in a new food truck, extending our delicious BBQ until the end of December; while making it a little easier for my crew. We look forward to making new fans with our extended months and also getting to see our long-standing fans more often.
